Support the teacher candidate

Define clear expectations

Assist the teacher candidate with technology used in the classroom

Give specific feedback to the teacher candidate about performance- reinforce what the teacher candidate does well and offer suggestions for improvement

Set aside time to reflect with your teacher candidate
Communicate with WSU

Keep the university supervisor abreast of the teacher candidate's performance and notify him/her of issues

Submit all electronic paperwork on time

CT Qualifications
-
​3+ years of experience
-
Current and aligned teaching license
-
Recommended by the district administrator

​Strong adult mentoring skills
-
Record of a positive impact on student learning

Good classroom management
-

​Be trained in the science of reading, using state approved science of reading materials and instruction, as applicable for placement type and subject matter.
